Pat McAfee reveals Avril Lavigne sang ‘Sk8er Boi’ at Taylor Swift wedding

ESPN analyst Pat McAfee shared new details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding, claiming Avril Lavigne performed her hit Sk8er Boi while celebrity guests took turns singing throughout the night.

McAfee, who attended the couple's private July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden, revealed more behind-the-scenes moments during recent episodes of The Pat McAfee Show.

Pat McAfee reveals Avril Lavigne performance

Speaking on Tuesday's broadcast, McAfee said he had unintentionally been the first to reveal Lavigne's performance.

"I guess me saying Avril Lavigne played 'Sk8r Boi' was the first time that it came out," he said.

He praised the singer's performance before describing the atmosphere at the reception.

"She was awesome. And to be clear, those musicians... one would just call out the other, and then they would come up and they would just do their s---."

Entertainment Weekly reported that it has contacted Lavigne's representative for comment.

Musicians reportedly performed throughout reception

McAfee previously claimed that music legends and fellow guests performed informally throughout the evening rather than as part of a scheduled programme.

According to him, Paul McCartney performed I Want to Hold Your Hand, while Stevie Nicks also took the stage alongside Swift.

He described the celebration as a unique blend of Hollywood, Nashville and the NFL.

"Think about her brain going to her dream wedding and then Travis Kelce's energy in the middle of it in the football world, coming together with Hollywood and Nashville," McAfee said.

Star-studded guest list

Television host George Stephanopoulos also shared details from the event, describing it as "intimate as it could possibly be" despite taking place inside Madison Square Garden.

In addition to McCartney and Nicks, the wedding reportedly welcomed musicians including Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Ashanti, Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Sombr, the Haim sisters and The Chicks.
