Pop star Ariana Grande and her former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez sparked fresh reunion rumours after they were photographed walking arm-in-arm through Central Park in New York City on Thursday. The casual outing saw the pair walking closely together alongside a dog that resembled the singer's pet, Toulouse, marking their latest public appearance together following recent speculation about their relationship status.
TMZ obtained photographs of the stroll, which showed Grande with her arm wrapped around Alvarez's waist while his arm was draped over her shoulder. Page Six previously reported that the former couple decided to give their romance another shot but are intentionally avoiding rushing into a formal relationship.
An unnamed source told Page Six that Grande has rekindled her relationship with Alvarez but is taking things slowly due to her busy schedule. The insider added that Alvarez has remained close to the Grammy winner's family over the years and has consistently supported her while she travels on tour, which Grande highly appreciates. A representative for the singer did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the status of the relationship.
The Central Park outing follows several joint appearances, including a birthday gathering for Grande in Austin, Texas, in late June. The duo was also photographed together during the Fourth of July weekend at a Whole Foods grocery store in Grande's hometown of Boca Raton, Florida.
Fans recently speculated about a reunion after Grande made a lyric change to her 2018 hit song "Thank U, Next" during a July 13 concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Instead of singing the original line laughing about her past songs about Alvarez, Grande sang that they always find their way back. The actress and her former backup dancer previously dated between 2015 and 2016 after meeting on her Honeymoon Tour. The rekindled romance follows Grande's recent split from her partner of three years, Ethan Slater.
