A leaked screenshot shared by Telegram user Hamada first revealed the experimental interface. The broader digital music market has increasingly pivoted towards larger, sometimes animated, album covers to enhance user engagement.

The streaming service previously introduced a major Now Playing redesign earlier in 2026.
