Jennifer Lopez shares what really wins her over in a relationship

Jennifer Lopez has shared the relationship quality that truly wins her over, saying kindness and thoughtfulness mean far more to her than wealth or luxury.

The singer and actress made the candid remarks while performing at Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda event in Taormina, Sicily, just days before celebrating her 57th birthday on July 24.

During a lighthearted exchange with her backup dancers on stage, Lopez told the audience she does not need a partner to provide for her financially.

"I have my own money," she said, adding that while receiving gifts can be nice, material things are not what make someone attractive.

"We don't need anybody to buy us anything. We don't. We want them to, sometimes that's nice," Lopez joked.

The On the Floor hitmaker went on to explain that simple, everyday gestures are what she finds truly appealing in a relationship.

"But you know what really makes a man attractive? It's not the watch. It's not the car. It's not the private jet," she said.

"It really isn't, although that's nice. It's seeing them make the bed in the morning or wash the dishes for you when you're tired at night."

Lopez described those thoughtful acts as the qualities she finds genuinely "sexy."

"That's what’s sexy. Now that's what I call sexy. Cause ladies, you know, we do all the things. We do all the things," she told the crowd.

The performance concluded with Lopez thanking Dolce & Gabbana founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana before expressing her love for Italy.

"Ti amo, Italia!" she said.

The appearance formed part of the luxury fashion house's three-day Alta Moda celebration in Sicily.
