While discussing Prince Harry’s childhood, Corden asked the royal whether he played soccer during his school days. Corden joked that Prince Harry had attended an educational institution that was too posh for soccer. Prince Harry quickly corrected Corden's choice of words, asking why the host called the sport soccer instead of football. Corden responded that they were in the United States, prompting laughter during the television broadcast.

Prince Harry recalled playing football during his time at school, though he admitted he was not among the top athletes. He explained that he managed to play in the first team while attending prep school. However, his athletic standing changed after moving to a larger school, where he ended up playing in the E team.

Prince Harry analysed the loss, stating that the players lost confidence after securing an initial lead and adopted an overly defensive strategy.
