Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo ignored legal advice over post-divorce baby plans

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo chose to move forward with plans to have a child together despite receiving legal advice about potential complications following their divorce, according to newly filed court documents.

The former couple's marital dissolution agreement, filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, states that both were separately advised by their attorneys about possible legal issues surrounding their genetic material and evolving reproductive laws.

Court documents detail legal warnings

Page Six reported Jelly Roll, 41, and Bunnie Xo, 46, were warned there could be legal consequences related to their genetic material because of evolving technology and case law.

The agreement also states that both were advised to seek independent legal counsel specialising in genetics and reproductive law before signing the divorce documents.

However, the pair acknowledged that they chose not to obtain additional specialist advice.

Couple still plans to have a child

The filing comes weeks after Bunnie said she and the country singer still planned to have a baby together despite ending their marriage.

The former couple previously revealed that their IVF journey had been physically and emotionally challenging but maintained they hoped to become parents together after their split.

Divorce finalised

Jelly Roll filed for divorce in May after nearly 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

The divorce was finalised last week. The agreement also includes confidentiality and non-disparagement provisions and revokes any previous permissions allowing either party to access the other's personal accounts.
