Jason Kelce opens up about Travis' surprise musical talent

Jason Kelce has revealed that his brother, Travis Kelce, showcased more than his football skills during his wedding to Taylor Swift, praising the NFL star's singing ability after the couple's star-studded celebration.

Speaking on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast, Jason said Travis has always been able to carry a tune and delivered a solid performance during the couple's July 3 wedding reception at Madison Square Garden.

“Trav can sing. Trav has always been able to carry a tune,” Jason said.

“Obviously, paled in comparison to some of the other people singing that night, but he did okay.”

Podcast host Ross Tucker, who attended the wedding with his wife, also praised the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's performance, admitting he was surprised by how well Travis sang.

“I would have thought that that's what he does. He's a good singer,” Tucker said.

Jason explained that while he and his younger brother inherited their athletic abilities from their parents, their appreciation for music developed during their upbringing in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

“I think a lot of the fact that we kind of do a little bit of everything actually stems from where we grew up in Cleveland,” Jason shared.

Describing the community as artistic and culturally diverse, he recalled growing up in an environment where children were encouraged to explore music from an early age.

“Everybody in third grade, you're starting to record. Everybody in fourth grade, you're getting a musical instrument,” he said, adding that the town exposed young people to the arts, athletics and academics alike.

Music played a central role throughout Travis and Taylor Swift's wedding, with several renowned musicians performing during the reception.

The ceremony also featured thoughtful tributes to Swift's music, including embroidered Blank Space lyrics on handkerchiefs and an instrumental version of Love Story as she walked down the aisle.

Jason served as his brother's best man, while his four daughters acted as flower girls during the celebration.

Reflecting on the occasion shortly after the wedding, Jason described it as a memorable day for the entire Kelce family and said he was thrilled to celebrate the newlyweds.
