Cardi B responds to fans urging her to stay single after Stefon Diggs breakup
Cardi B admits she could choose better partners
Cardi B dismissed calls from fans urging her to remain single following her reported split from Stefon Diggs, saying she has no intention of avoiding relationships and is simply enjoying life.
Cardi B rejects calls to stay single
Speaking during a social media session shared on X, the rapper responded to fans who suggested she should focus on herself instead of dating.
"I've been seeing some suggestions like, 'I want her to be single, I want her to focus on herself.' Bitch, I'm not going to be single for the rest of my life," she said.
Cardi added that she has spent much of her recent tour single and not entertaining anyone romantically.
She said she has instead been spending time with friends, travelling and enjoying herself.
Rapper says everyone needs companionship
While acknowledging she could be "a little bit more exclusive" with the men she dates, Cardi said she has no intention of apologising for having a personal life.
"Could I pick better men? Probably. Maybe. So, whatever," she said.
The Grammy-winning artist also joked that, despite enjoying her independence, she still wants companionship and entertainment in her life.
Romance rumours follow Paris appearances
Cardi's comments come weeks after she sparked dating speculation with Nigerian footballer Maduka Okoye.
The pair were first seen together during Paris Fashion Week and were later reportedly spotted dining together in Italy.
Neither Cardi nor Okoye has publicly confirmed they are in a relationship.
Ex's allegations draw attention
The renewed attention on Okoye followed public allegations made by his former partner, who accused him of neglecting their young son and made claims about their past relationship.
In a statement reported by Page Six, she said her criticism was directed at Okoye's parenting rather than Cardi.
Recent breakup remains in spotlight
Before the latest rumours, Cardi was in an on-again, off-again relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs.
The rapper's latest comments make clear she is not planning to stay single indefinitely despite fans urging her to take a break from dating.
