Olivia Culpo reveals birth plan for second baby amid Christian McCaffrey's NFL season

Olivia Culpo has shared details of her birth plan for baby number two, revealing she will have a scheduled C-section timed around husband Christian McCaffrey's demanding NFL schedule.

The 34-year-old model explained in a new TikTok video that she and the San Francisco 49ers running back are coordinating the delivery so McCaffrey, 30, can be present for the birth before returning to training camp.

"Christian's leaving for the season. So sad. Everything feels overwhelming," Culpo said. "The plan is I'm having a C-section because I had a C-section in July last year, so having a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) wasn't an option."

She added that the procedure has been scheduled on one of McCaffrey's lighter workdays.

"Basically, it's on an off day for him, so he'll be able to come just for the birth. And then aside from that, he'll have to go back. So it's gonna be different than my first birth," she explained.

Culpo also addressed the misconception that the NFL season only begins when regular-season games kick off in September, noting that players report to training camp at the end of July before transitioning straight into the season.

With McCaffrey expected to return to football shortly after the birth, Culpo said she is thankful for the support system around her as she prepares to care for a newborn while raising the couple's 12-month-old daughter, Colette.

"I'm grateful for my village and large security detail," she said.

Last year, the former Miss Universe opened up about her concerns that motherhood might affect her career, admitting the transition felt daunting because of the responsibilities that come with raising a child.

However, she praised McCaffrey for encouraging her to continue working while supporting her ambitions.

Culpo added that although she remains committed to her career, becoming a mother has changed her priorities, saying she would choose her children "10 times over."
