Tyla’s dream becomes reality with her own Bratz doll
The singer celebrated the launch of her Bratz doll, calling the collaboration a moment she will never forget
South African singer Tyla has achieved another major career milestone after launching her own collectible Bratz doll, turning a wish she publicly shared last year into reality.
The Grammy-winning star, 24, previously wrote on X, “Imma have my own Tyla doll one day,” and that dream officially came true on July 27 when Bratz unveiled a doll created in her likeness.
Ahead of the launch, Tyla met fans during a special signing event at FAO Schwarz in New York City, where she spoke about her longtime love for the iconic fashion doll brand.
She revealed that Bratz movies were among her comfort watches growing up and joked that everything about her reflects the brand’s bold, fashion-forward spirit.
The collector’s doll recreates Tyla’s memorable 2024 Met Gala appearance, featuring a miniature version of her custom Balmain sand-inspired gown.
It also includes her signature braided hairstyle, beauty mark, a second concert-inspired outfit, a miniature vinyl of her TYLA album and a tiger accessory as a tribute to her fan community.
Bratz president and creative director Jasmin Larian Hekmat said the team wanted to capture one of Tyla’s most recognisable fashion moments, adding that they aim to create dolls that become lasting keepsakes for the stars they represent.
Tyla said receiving the opportunity was a moment she would never forget and encouraged fans to continue believing in their dreams.
The Bratz x Tyla Collector Doll launched on July 27 and retails for £75.
