Rob Gronkowski reveals fun raffle twist at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding
The former NFL star said he joined the wedding raffle in hopes of winning a prize for girlfriend Camille Kostek
Rob Gronkowski has revealed how the raffles at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding worked, saying guests had to earn their entries by taking part in games throughout the celebration.
The former NFL star attended the couple’s July 3 wedding in New York City with his girlfriend, Camille Kostek, and described the event as both “magnificent” and surprisingly intimate despite its star-studded guest list.
Speaking to People, Gronkowski said he joined the raffle in hopes of winning a prize for Kostek.
“I did participate in the raffle. I was trying to win something for my girl, Camille,” he said.
According to Gronkowski, the raffle stood out because guests had to earn tickets rather than receive them automatically.
“You had to play the games in order to get the raffle tickets,” he explained. “It wasn’t no hand-me-outs. You had to earn the raffle tickets, and that’s what made it so much fun.”
Beyond the games, Gronkowski said one of his favourite moments from the celebration was spending time on the dance floor alongside fellow guests, including former teammate Tom Brady.
“It was so cool to see it live, to be able to have a good time on the dance floor and to mingle with so many people in my industry, but also so many people in other industries,” he said.
The retired tight end also admitted he found himself feeling “a little bit starstruck” by some of the attendees.
“When you meet someone that’s been your hero, that you’ve been watching, you’ve just gotta play it cool,” he joked.
Summing up the celebration, Gronkowski called it “a magnificent wedding,” adding that although it was a large event, it still felt “very intimate.”
