JAY-Z has joined the debate whether his fans should choose $500k or have lunch with him instead… and his explanation is pretty understandable.

In an exclusive video from CBS Mornings’ latest episode, shared by PEOPLE magazine, the 53-year-old rapper has finally responded to a viral question, “given the choice, would you take $500,000 or have lunch with JAY-Z?”

"That's a bad deal. I wouldn’t tell you to cut a bad deal," said the Young Forever rapper, seemingly urging fan to take the money instead.

"You gotta take the money," said JAY-Z, 53, adding, "what I'mma say?"

However, when the host Gayle King, explained to the Niggas in Paris rapper that people think the "wisdom" they can get from JAY-Z will be enough to help them earn $500,000.

To which the 99 Problems singer responded, had to choose between two, he would prefer money, explaining, “because you got all that in the music for $10.99. That’s a bad deal. I wouldn’t tell you to cut a bad deal."

He continued, "take the $500,000, go buy some albums and listen to the albums. It’s all there."

"If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, for what it is, it’s all there. Everything that I said was going to happen, happened. Everything that I said I wanted to do, I’ve done, and there’s the blueprint," he added referencing the title of his iconic 2001 album.

The two-part interview of JAY-Z with King will air on Thursday and Friday on CBS Mornings.
