The Beatles unveil final song 'Now and Then' featuring all four legends
The Beatles' 'Now and Then' marks historic moment as it's the first previously unheard work to feature all four members of the legendary band

The Beatles, one of the most iconic and influential bands in the history of music, have unveiled a long-awaited and emotionally poignant final song, Now and Then.
Released on Thursday, this song marks a historic moment as it's the first previously unheard work to feature all four members of the legendary band—George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr—since 1996.
The song was initiated from a 1978 recording by John Lennon, two years before his untimely death, and was gifted to McCartney, Harrison, and Starr by Yoko Ono in 1994, alongside the previously released Real Love and Free as a Bird in 1995.
Now and Then spent years on the shelf due to poor audio quality, but McCartney and Starr decided to revisit it with the help of technology developed by filmmaker Peter Jackson.
The resulting ballad is a stunning and tender composition, with John and McCartney's voices uniting in harmony.
In a short film titled The Last Beatles Song, directed by Oliver Murray, McCartney and Starr express the significance of working on this track, reflecting on their unique journey as musicians.
Sean Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, also shares his thoughts, underlining the sentimental impact of the release and his father's experimental spirit in recording technology.
