Kate Middleton gears to transform her wardrobe before ‘The Crown' release
The shift in Kate Middleton's wardrobe includes a notable increase in power suits

Kate Middleton, who garners attention for her fashion has undergone a style transformation trading in traditional coat dresses for a contemporary and casual wardrobe
This shift includes a notable increase in power suits. While some admirers have expressed their nostalgia for her previous style choices, an insider revealed to Us Weekly.
Kate’s dressing switching is a deliberate strategy to “get ahead of” potential criticism that may arise with the release of Netflix's upcoming final season of The Crown.
The upcoming royal drama, set to be released in two instalments with the first part scheduled for November 16, features Meg Bellamy, a relatively unknown actress, portraying a young Princess of Wales.
According to a source close to the royal family, there is concern that the real-life royal is worried about how she will be portrayed in the show and hopes for a favourable portrayal.
According to the source, the princess perceived that Netflix intends to portray her as a “very privileged, lovesick young woman,” and, therefore, she is actively working on improving her public image, which includes changing her clothing style.
The royal source told the magazine, “Kate’s switching up her style in an effort to win people over, and also to get ahead of the beating how she feels her image will take when ‘The Crown’s’ new season debuts.”
Additionally, the source disclosed that following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Princess of Wales “wants people to see her as a strong leader, someone who’s capable of taking the title of queen into a new generation”
To achieve this, she has engaged with stylists and her team to undergo a transformation in her public image.
This transformation strategy includes incorporating clothing such as “pants, more casual shirts and less high-priced clothing” along with a focus on making her wardrobe more accessible to the public, as described by the insider.
While Princess Kate has been consistently seen wearing trousers in recent months, several of her power suits, such as the pinstriped Holland Cooper blazer priced at $669 and its matching pants at $364, have a total cost exceeding $1,000.
Nonetheless, according to royal expert Kinsey Schofield, when the mother-of-three dons one of her sharp blazers or suits, it conveys a sense of authority.
She draws comparisons between these recent outfits and the style of the late Princess Diana, stating, “After Diana cut her hair short (inspired by Sharon Stone) we saw a lot of blazers too.”
The To Di for Daily creator said, “The fashion magazines all fawned over Diana’s boss wardrobe and admired her professionalism.”
