Matthew Perry's ex-girlfriend Kayti Edwards claimed about Perry's possible relapse before his demise

Matthew Perry’s ex-girlfriend Kayti Edwards has raised concerns about the late actor's possible relapse into drugs, leading up to his tragic death.
According to Page six, Edwards said in an interview, "I know Matthew and I know that he wouldn’t have just drowned."
A Fine Mess actoress, who briefly dated Friends star in 2006 after meeting at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting said, "I think he might have taken pills in the week leading up to this."
The Star Trek star believed that "things aren't adding up" regarding the details of his death, although initial toxicology reports didn't find fentanyl or meth in Perry's system.
She further added, "They said there were no prescription painkillers at the scene, which doesn’t surprise me, because he didn’t leave drugs lying around."
Prior to this, it was reported that no illicit drugs were discovered at Fools Rush In actor's residence in Pacific Palisades, aside from a few prescription medications.
Edwards further pointed to 17 Again actor's final Instagram post which was shared five days before his passing as a potential clue.
The post featured Perry in a jacuzzi with the caption, "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."
According to Edwards, The Whole Nine Yards famed use of "Mattman" allegedly hinted at a possible relapse into illicit drug use.
Edwards said, "That Mattman thing was not something he did when he was sober. Mattman would come out when he was not sober and he felt kind of invincible."
Moreover, Kayti even worked as the Almost Heroes actor's assistant in 2011 despite their romantic involvement ending they remained close.
