Bella Ramsey on shooting 'The Last of Us': ‘best year of my life’

Bella Ramsey has revealed that shooting for the HBO series The Last of Us has been the “best year” of her life.

The young star played the role of Ellie in the hit show.

Bella revealed that the stardom she received after the show became famous was “bizarre.”

During a conversation with ET from the carpet of the Gotham Awards, the 20-year-old actress represented the team behind the show

She said, “It's pretty weird, actually. It was just like the best year of my life making this show with basically a group of people who became my friends.”

“I just find it very bizarre,” Bella explained, adding it was hard for her to deal with massive fame overnight.

In July, The Worst Witch starlet was nominated for an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, because of her role of Ellie in the HBO show.

Bella noted, “I go outside and I get recognized like every time I go out now. It's kind of strange but I don't think about it until it happens. I wouldn't say I like it -- it's not awful. People are nice.”

Earlier this year, the renowned actress told the media outlet, "It still feels surreal to me that it's going to go again,” adding, “I don't want to go into it [season two] comparing it to the experience of the first season. I have, it's like a gay army. That feels nice to just have that army behind me.”

Bella then talked about fans' reaction to The Last of Us video game.

She concluded, “That's the thing that feels the most validating, is when gamers who are so invested in the game say, 'This is so good and it lives up to all my expectations.' That is the reaction that feels really, really cool.”
