Amy Robach shares seriousness of her relationship with T.J. Holmes

Amy Robach has opened up about the serious considerations surrounding her relationship with T.J. Holmes.

She recently shared that the prospect of marrying Holmes is not merely a whimsical notion but a thoughtfully contemplated aspect of their connection.

During a conversation at the recent episode of their Amy & T.J. Podcast, which was unveiled on Tuesday via iHeartRadio, the duo delved into discussions about their shared future.

Responding to inquiries from their audience, one notable question surfaced, “Are you guys going to tie the knot?”

“It’s under consideration,” said Robach.

She added, “We did not enter this relationship for fun or for ‘Let's see what happens.’ We entered this relationship because we intended on spending our lives together. So whether or not we have some sort of legal, you know, I don't know, button on it.”

The co-anchor of ABC's Good Morning America also revealed, “We both have two marriages under our belts and so it's not something we're racing to or rushing towards.”

Robech, 51, shared, “But there is something, I get it, it's this thing that I can't even explain why there's this desire, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I can say that. It's on the table. It's on the table.”

Holmes made a lighthearted comment about the petite gift box beneath the Christmas tree and acknowledged that the couple's age difference contributes to his desire to get married.

“I want to marry you, in part, because you're 50 and I'm 46. And I'm very sick of introducing a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend. That just sounds stupid,” he said.

“Thank you for noting the age difference,” laughed Robach.

“Everybody knows that!” adding, “But you’re going to be 51 soon and I’m going to be 46. When you were in high school, I was in elementary school.”

“He does this a lot. He loves to point that out!” said Robach.

It is pertinent to mention that when reports about the workplace romance between the two emerged in November 2022, Amy Robach had not officially acknowledged her separation from her actor husband, Andrew Shue, and similarly, T.J. Holmes had not confirmed his separation from his attorney wife, Marilee Fiebig.
