Kate Middleton opted for a low-key celebration over extravagant festivities for her 42nd birthday.
According to reports, the Princess of Wales chose to spend her special day surrounded by her loved ones despite having the choice of fancy restaurants and luxury venues.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward shared insights into the likely birthday plans, suggesting that Kate might head back to her childhood village to mark the occasion.
Ingrid emphasized Kate's love for family life and celebrations, stating that even though no official details would be released, Kate's 42nd birthday would be a good reason to rejoice.
“Family life has always been central for the Princess of Wales and she loves an excuse to celebrate. Her 42nd birthday - her second as Princess of Wales - is a good reason to do so, but no details will be released. Traditionally the royals only celebrate milestone birthdays with the public so we might have to wait until Catherine is 45,” she said.
The celebrations could take place at the Middleton family home, Bucklebury Manor, with Kate's mother, Carole, potentially organizing an after-school party for the children.

The seven-bedroom Georgian house is described as perfect for parties, and with Kate's siblings, James and Pippa, living nearby, the family gathering would be a cozy and joyous occasion.
Known for her appreciation of home-crafted gifts, Kate is not expected to anticipate extravagant presents.
However, the Prince William may present her with something special, possibly an image from one of the iconic photographers admired by Kate.
She added, “Catherine loves home crafted gifts and will not be expecting anything extravagant. But the Prince of Wales will produce something special such as an image from one of the iconic photographers admired by his wife, which are highly collectable.”
