Jason Patric loses younger brother, Jordan Miller, in fatal accident

The younger brother of actor Jason Patric, Jordan Miller, was reportedly struck by a vehicle, causing his death.

North Jersey publication Bergen Record, broke the news of a 56-year-old pedestrian who had been hit by a New Jersey transit bus in Fort Lee on Wednesday morning, January 10, 2024, at Lemoine Avenue and Bruce Reynolds Boulevard.

TMZ was the first outlet to identify the victim as Jordan Miller, who had been working at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan as a customer service representative at the time of his death.

According to the Bergen Record, the police reported that the passer-by was crossing Bridge Plaza South at Lemoine Avenue when the 159 bus line turned left and struck him.

The victim’s name was not brought to public notice immediately.

Shortly after the crash, police officers with Port Authority and Fort Lee immediately responded and performed CPR.

Following no response, the victim was transferred to Englewood Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition and later pronounced dead.

On the same day of the accident, the Deputy Chief of the Fort Lee Police Department, Edward Young, said that no charges had been filed against the 60-year-old bus driver.

On Thursday, January 11, 2024, chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Kevin J. O’Toole, wrote in the New Jersey Globe, "Yesterday, I received an unexpected early morning phone call. It was from the Chief Security Officer of the Port Authority advising me of the death of a Port Authority employee."

"When I heard the deceased man’s name, Jordan Miller, it stopped me. I knew him. I had met Jordan over a dozen years ago, and he had left a lasting impression," he further wrote.

However, on Friday, January 12, 2024, TMZ revealed that the police were still investigating the fatal collision.
