'Friends' actor Matthew Perry died at the age 54 on October 28, 2023

Friends star Matthew Perry's death investigation has officially concluded after almost 3 months of his demise.
As reported by the Hindustan Times, The Los Angeles Police Department stated they won't continue looking into the passing of Perry.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has also closed the case, as mentioned on their website.
Matthew Perry's cause of death:
Matthew Perry, known for playing Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom Friends, passed away at the age of 54 on October 28, 2023, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment world.
The Fools Rush In star was found unresponsive in the hot bath tub at his residence in Los Angeles.
Later, the toxicology report of Perry was revealed by the Los Angeles Country Medical Examiner’s Office, in which it was disclosed that Perry died due to the high levels of Ketamine.

As per the report, "At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression."
Matthew Perry discusses addiction in his memoir:
Before he passed away, Perry clearly discussed his battle with the addiction in his 2022 memoir in which he mentioned feeling like "dying."
In his book, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible: A Memoir, The Whole Nine Yards star wrote, "Ketamine was a very popular street drug in the 1980s. There is a synthetic form of it now, and it’s used for two reasons: to ease pain and help with depression."
He explained, "Has my name written all over it they might as well have called it 'Matty'.”
The Ron Clark Story actor further added, "Taking K is like being hit in the head with a giant happy shovel. But the hangover was rough and outweighed the shovel," adding, "Ketamine was not for me."
