Usher provided insights into Justin Bieber not joining him on stage for the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, which happened on February 11, 2024.
In an interview to The Breakfast Club, he spoke about why the Baby hit-maker could not join him on stage for the musical gig at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday even though many fans expected his presence.
"I honor and recognize that my brother, you know, he — I think that it might’ve been the fact that he’s just wanting to tell a different story right now, and I understand that," the 45-year-old artist said on the radio show.

Briefing the conversation he had, Usher continued, "But we did have a brief conversation, and we’re gonna do something else in the future. No love lost or anything like that."
The Yeah! singer mentioned that he felt under a "lot of pressure" when he was given the opportunity of performing on a stage as big as the Super Bowl, adding that he "reached out to everybody" to join him on stage.
"He’s gonna play the Super Bowl. I’ll go ahead and give you that — in the future. I profess that over his life. It’s time, because he has a career that deserves it. But it just didn’t happen, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to," Usher concluded, hoping Bieber makes it to the stage just like he did.
Usher graced the stage of the Super Bowl Halftime on February 11, 2024 and performed a series of songs, including his hit track, Yeah! along with Ludacris and Lil Jon.
