Ellen DeGeneres revealed her plans to return back to her stand-up comedy roots with her performance at the show, Beth & Pals, which is yet to be aired.

The former The Ellen DeGeneres Show host took the stage at the Largo in Los Angeles to perform a surprise set in Beth Stelling’s show.

Videos of her gig on social media platforms have been cut off before they began with a description that read, “Ellen got to do something she's wanted to get back to for a long time. She can’t show you any of it now, but you’ll see it soon enough.”

DeGeneres joined the program along with Stelling’s other star-studded lineup of comedians, who included Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Aidy Bryant, Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, Alana Johnston and Nthenya From Kenya.

The 66-year-old former TV show host also took to her Instagram account to display her buzzing excitement when she arrived at the L.A. venue with wife Portia de Rossi.

In the uploaded clip, the couple can be seen hopping out of a car as DeGeneres throws her hands up in the air and exclaims, “Here we are!”

Ellen DeGeneres then headed towards the show’s backstage, where she interacted with some of the other comedians before Stelling introduced her on the program, surprising the unsuspecting audience with the announcement, “please make it loud for Ellen DeGeneres!"

Ellen DeGeneres can be seen in the video in her classic look, a moto jacket, jeans and sneakers and was greeted with thunderous applause from the audience as soon as she stepped on stage.
