Taylor Tomlinson opened up about being single for the past year and how she loves every second of it in her third Netflix comedy special titled, Have It All, which premiered on February 13, 2024.

In a video snippet uploaded by the official Instagram account of Netflix, Tomlinson can be heard talking about being single for a while.

“I’ve been single for the past year now, and it has been the most relaxing year of my entire life,” Tomlinson said as the crowd in attendance erupted into cheers.

She continued, “It has been lovely,” as she proceeded to crack a joke saying, “Waking up everyday going, ‘Oh, no one’s gonna make me cry today, but me.’”

As the crowd laughed to her rather “relatable” joke she proceeded to explain how being single is better than dating, in her opinion.

“Dating is what sucks and you can opt out of that. Dating is what’s s-” she stated and referred to the process of dating as “the constant push and pull of hope and disappointment.”

Further explaining what dating feels like she further said, “Dating feels like being a stuffed animal in a claw machine.”

In a squeaky voice, acting out a hilarious scenario she went, “Oh my God! It’s happening,” and immediately delivered the punchline saying, “No, it’s not.”

Taylor Tomlinson earned a great number of positive reviews over her comedy special shortly after it was released due to her tackling topics like anxiety, depression and dating, with comedic expertise.
