Aamir Khan's ex-wife Reena Dutta ‘uninvited’ to 'Lagaan' reunion?
The curiosity-sparking 'Lagaan' reunion gathered the mesmerizing cast and crew of the 2001 hit film
According to the Times of India, Lagaan stars including Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh graced the Lagaan reunion but Aamir’s first wife, Reena Dutta, who was one of the producers of the film, could not be spotted in the much anticipated event.
Ashutosh Gowariker’s son’s wedding celebrations were in full swing and the reunion was a part of these celebrations.
A wedding ceremony took place followed by a star-studded reception with Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh amongst the guests.
Other actors of Lagaan, notably Aditya Lakhia, who played Kachra and producer Kiran Rao, also attended the reception.
On the 20th anniversary of Lagaan, Aamir had looked back on how his ex-wife, Reena, played a big role in the production of the blockbuster film.
Aamir said, "I think the one thing that remains with me is the way Reena handled the film. My ex-wife Reena, who was a producer of the film, was somebody who had no understanding of cinema until then."
"Though she was married to me for a number of years, she was not interested in films. So, she never knew anything about film making. So, when I requested her one night that I am producing a film, I will need your help," the star admitted Reena ended up supporting him in turning his dream into reality.
