Here’s how to create Studio Ghibli-style images on ChatGPT for free

The social media is abuzz with stunning, captivating, cartoon-like images inspired by Studio Ghibli's iconic animation style, due to advancements in artificial intelligence (AI)-generated art.

This surge in popularity can be attributed to a recent update to OpenAI's GPT-4o image generator which has taken social media by storm.

The new feature enables ChatGPT users to create illustrations inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's iconic films with just a text prompt.

To create AI-generated images using ChatGPT, users can follow these simple steps:

1. Access ChatGPT by visiting chat.openai.com and log in with your OpenAI account credentials.
2. Start a new chat and enter a descriptive prompt for the image you wish to generate.
3. Now, press Enter to submit your prompt, and ChatGPT will process your request and generate the corresponding image.
4. Next, download and save the image by right-clicking on it and selecting "save image as..." to download it to your device.

Currently, the feature is exclusive to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, and select subscription tiers.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently stated that the overwhelming demand for AI-generated images has caused a delay in the rollout of this feature to free users.

However, those who don’t have access to ChatGPT's image generation feature, various free alternatives, including Gemini, GrokAI, Craiyon, Artbreeder, Runway ML, Leonardo AI, and Mage space, can help achieve a similar effect.

By using these tools, users can generate Ghibli-style visuals with precise prompts or basic inputs.
