From Silicon Valley compounds to Hawaiian mega-estates: Everything Mark Zuckerberg owns
When people think of Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, they often picture the hoodie-clad tech founder who transformed Facebook into Meta and helped define the modern social media era.
But beyond the digital empire, Zuckerberg has quietly been building something far more tangible, a vast portfolio of real estate stretching from the heart of Silicon Valley to the shores of Hawaii and even the political corridors of Washington, D.C.
Below is a closer look at everything Zuckerberg owns.
A Monopoly of homes in Palo Alto, California

Zuckerberg’s real estate story begins in Silicon Valley, a few minutes from Meta’s Menlo Park headquarters.
Since 2011, he has spent over $110 million buying up adjoining properties in Palo Alto, creating an 11-home compound along Edgewood Drive and Hamilton Avenue.
Some of these homes remain empty, while five have been merged into a single family compound equipped with AI-driven modifications, a saltwater pool, a sunroom, and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.
The $23 million Washington, D.C. Mansion

In 2025, Zuckerberg turned heads in the nation’s capital by purchasing a $23 million mansion in the upscale Woodland Normanstone neighborhood.
The 15,000-square-foot estate, hidden among embassies and leafy streets, is minutes from the US Naval Observatory and not far from the White House.
While officially described as a residence to support Zuckerberg’s increased time in D.C. for Meta’s policy work, real estate insiders see it as a symbolic bow to political influence.
The Hawaii Megacomplex

Perhaps the most controversial jewel in Zuckerberg’s empire is his 1,400-acre estate on Kauai, Hawaii.
Acquired since 2014 for more than $100 million, the compound, known as Ko’olau Ranch, is nothing short of a private kingdom.
Lake Tahoe luxury estates

On the West Coast, Zuckerberg also owns a pair of luxury estates along Lake Tahoe’s pristine shoreline.
Purchased for $59 million in 2018 and 2019 under strict nondisclosure agreements, the properties, named Carousel and Brushwood, provide the Zuckerberg family with private retreats away from the public eye.
