Here’s why Apple delayed Siri AI upgrade
Apple has pushed back the highly anticipated artificial intelligence (AI) upgrade for Siri, to the fall.
The upgraded Siri will now likely be released with the iOS 19 update.
Initially announced a year ago at the World Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event, the virtual assistant was supposed to become smarter, more personal, and deeply integrated across apps and screens, but the update has been delayed.
The Cupertino-based tech giant is now reportedly taking extra time to fine-tune its AI and machine learning models, which power Siri's new personalisation engine.
Moreover, Apple is working to ensure the upgraded Siri is stable, accurate, and reliable while maintaining its strong stance on user data protection.
Apple enthusiasts can expect to hear more about Siri's AI upgrade at WWDC 2025, where Apple will likely unveil the first public preview of the iOS 19 update.
However, until then, users will have to wait and see how Siri's new capabilities shape up.
On the sidelines, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models with a significant redesign in September 2025.
