Liv Tyler reveals shocking way she was introduced to sister Mia Tyler

Sisters Liv and Mia Tyler recently shared the shocking details of their very first encounter with each other, before they even knew that they were related.

The duo, who are 18 months apart, apparently met each other at an Aerosmith concert, the rock band which is headed by their father, singer and songwriter, Steven Tyler.

"I just remember standing there watching them play, looking, and seeing this girl who looked exactly like me. Like, we literally had the same outfit on," the Lord of the Rings actress opened up about spotting her sister for the first time.

Underscoring the similar looks that both the sisters were sporting at the time, which included concert t-shirts paired with black leggings as well as braces, Liv recalled thinking that looking at her sister was like "looking in the mirror and seeing your double."

The sisters who share the same father, but come from separate mothers, learned about their connection for the first time at the concert.

"I looked at my mom and I was like 'Mom?' And she just started crying. My mom just like, bawled. And I was like, 'Is Steven my dad?'" the 47-year-old American actress reminisced.

For the uninitiated, Liv was raised by her mother Bebe Buell outside of her father’s knowledge due to his sobriety issues.

The Incredible Hulk actress' sister Mia also commented on the incident, saying, "I remember getting home and it was really late, and I remember coming back and I was like, 'I met this girl and she was so great, and her mom, Bebe.'"

Upon which she revealed that she was interrupted by her mother, Cyrinda Foxe, with, "What was her name?"

They dished their family secrets during an episode of Sibling Revelry With Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson podcast, where they also shared that they met each other around the ages of eight and nine, respectively.
