Cardi B embraces 'new' identity following separation from Offset

Cardi B has revealed a profound personal transformation, describing herself as a "new" person following her high-profile separation from her husband of seven years, Offset.

Speaking on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast on Wednesday, the 33-year-old rapper reflected on how the dissolution of her marriage acted as a catalyst for a "rebirth" in both her private and professional life.

"I feel like last year a new person was reborn," she explained, noting that she has reached a pivotal "now or never" moment. Having filed for divorce in 2024 after marrying in a private 2017 ceremony, the artist is now focusing on the "Jesus year" of her life—a term often used to describe the significant age of 33—to solidify her status as a global business mogul.

The mother of four emphasised that the current stage of her career is the ideal time to establish a lasting legacy, moving beyond her identity as a performer to become a serial entrepreneur.

"A lot of artists... they built their brand when they were seven to eight to 10 years in the business," she noted, expressing a desire to emulate the longevity of other successful icons.

Beyond her business ventures, Cardi B remains dedicated to her growing family. She shares three children with Offset: Kulture, 7; Wave, 4; and Blossom, 18 months.

In November 2025, she welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy nicknamed "Baby Brim," with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

Despite the complexities of her personal transitions, Cardi B continues to dominate the cultural landscape with her authentic voice and unwavering ambition.
