Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie reunite during filming of ‘Euphoria’ season three

While fans eagerly await the release of Euphoria season three, new previews from the show’s ongoing filming are keeping the suspense at bay.

Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie became the latest stars from the popular HBO drama to be spotted on the set of the upcoming series, reported Harper’s Bazaar.

Starring on the show as Cassie Howard and Maddy Perez since 2019, Sweeney and Demie were seen shooting for Euphoria on location in Los Angeles.

Driving along Sunset Boulevard in a vintage convertible, the two co-stars sported similar retro outfits to match the old-fashioned vibe.

With Sweeney sporting sparkly eye makeup and a 70s inspired hairdo with massive curtain bangs, Demie looked the part in oversized sunglasses, a headscarf, and fur stole.

The actresses could be seen smiling and posing for a selfie in the photographs captured during filming.

Meanwhile, the show’s leading star, Zendaya was also spotted on the set multiple times between February and April this year. 

She also filmed a few scenes alongside series newcomer, the Spanish singer, Rosalia.

Sweeney, 27, spoke to PEOPLE about looking forward to filming the show back in 2024, saying, “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me and I love my ‘Euphoria’ family, so I look forward to it.”

While Zendaya told The Hollywood Reporter, “I think it’ll be exciting to explore the characters out of high school.”

Revealing her expectations for the character she plays on the show, the Challengers star added, “I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look. But also with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be.”

Since the release of its season two in 2022, Euphoria has been missing in action for three long years due to various issues which included other commitments involving its star cast.

However, filming for season three of the show is currently underway and the series starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, among others, is set to be released sometime in 2026.
