Henry Golding drops bombshell about Met Gala

Henry Golding isn’t holding back on his experience at the Met Gala.

During this year’s grand fundraiser, the 38-year-old British star opened up about his most unforgettable memory from his debut back in 2019, where he crossed paths with Celine Dion.

He went on to reveal that when he had attended the event for the first time, he didn’t know anyone, making him slightly uneasy.

"The first time I came here was right after Crazy Rich Asians and I didn’t know a single soul. It was the most insane experience," he shared with Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Met Gala 2025.

Talking about the awkward situation initially, the A Simple Favour actor went on to recall the most memorable fan moment from the evening, stating "One of my favorite memories, I think we were walking out of the Met Gala and Celine Dion was going through the Met just singing and I was behind her just like, 'Oh!'"

The memory of sharing the same area as the Canadian singer will 'Continue to Come Back' to him.

While getting candid about feeling nervous for his appearance at the Met Gala the Crazy Rich Asian star revealed that he no longer gets the jitters after experiencing the charity event in 2019.

"After a couple down my belt," he continued, "You can kind of sit into it, relax a little and enjoy it."
