Miley Cyrus honours mom Tish Cyrus with heartfelt tattoo tribute

Miley Cyrus has her unique ways of expressing love, as the pop star recently paid a sweet tribute to her mother, Tish Cyrus, by getting herself inked.

The 32-year-old singer stepped out on Friday, June 6, at the Chanel Tribeca Festival Women’s Luncheon to celebrate the Through Her Lens program in New York City, where her mother was also in attendance.

Miley spoke to People at the event about her new tattoo honouring her mother. However, it was first revealed by her tattoo artist, Michelle Santana, on her Instagram handle on Monday, June 2.

The Wrecking Ball singer told the publication, "It says 'muse.' And it's really for her because my mom is my muse."

Moreover, Miley also disclosed that Tish will be getting matching ink.

"Mom was going to get matching with me, but she was out of town," she added.

It is pertinent to mention that the Flowers musician has over 50 tattoos all over her body.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Miley expressed her regret over most of her tattoos.

"A mistake that I made that I still think about is like 80% of my tattoos," she told the outlet, adding, "I don't regret them enough to laser them, but some of them, like... I mean I love my cat, but like, I didn't need that ... there's just a few I could do without."

On the professional front, Miley Cyrus’s recent ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, was dropped on Friday, May 30.
