'F1' Director opens up about cutting Simone Ashley's Role
'F1' Director Joseph Kosinski reflects on Simone Ashley as an actress

Simone Ashley's role in F1 was unfortunately cut before she could even reach the finish line.
Back in July 2024, it was confirmed that the 30-year-old British actress would be joining Brad Pitt and Damson Idris in the Formula One racing drama and was also photographed filming scenes for the production.
However, unfortunately for the Bridgerton star’s role was removed from the film.
According to the film's director Joseph Kosinski, her role in the racing film, set to release on June 27, was scaled back to a non speaking one for a valid reason.
Talking to People, the 51-year-old film director explained, "It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use. There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn't make it into the final cut."
Despite cutting the Sex Education alum’s part in the movie he went on to admit that he would love to work with the actress in the future.
"But Simone, she's an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again," he stated.
As of right now, Simone has remained tight lipped about the matter.
However, in an interview with ELLE on June 6, she excitedly went on to talk about her part in the movie, calling it a "crazy experience."
"I have a very small part, but I’m grateful to be in that movie," Simone added.
