Celebrities who are proud of their culinary skills

Most of the celebrities are known for their talents on stage, or screen, but some of them are surprisingly skilled in cooking too.

From whipping up Italian classics to hosting festive holiday dinners, these famous faces prove they’re just as impressive behind the stove as they are on screen.

Here are some of the stars who are love to cook for themselves and their loved ones:

David Beckham:

David Beckham has earned quite the reputation in the kitchen. His wife, Victoria Beckham, often calls him 'Chef David' on Instagram. She often shows his culinary creations like fresh grilled fish and rigatoni bolognese.

The soccer star even participated in cook-off with chef Gordon Ramsay back in 2017, impressing the celebrity chef with his risotto.

Julia Roberts:

Julia Roberts, an Oscar winner and Hollywood icon, is also a talented home cook. “I’m quite a good cook,” she admitted in a 2013 interview with E! News.

“I’m like a closet Home-Ec teacher … I can really cook anything.” Whether it’s for her family or friends, Roberts finds joy in spending time in the kitchen.

Lady Gaga:

Lady Gaga isn’t shy about her love for Italian food. Back in 2015, the iconic actress proudly shared her homemade ravioli on her Instagram.

She wrote, "Made fresh homemade raviolis this weekend with butternut squash and basil pesto from the garden #italiansdoitbest." Clearly, her culinary skills are just as bold as her music.

Ryan Gosling:

Ryan Gosling kept his cooking talents under wraps for years until his partner, Eva Mendes, revealed his secret in 2020. When asked if the couple cooks at home, 

Mendes shared, “Ryan is an amazing chef AND baker. For reals. Incredible. No joke.” It seems the actor has more than just dramatic range, he’s got kitchen chops, too.

John Legend:

John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen may be the foodie of the family, but he is not lesser than her. “John’s an amazing cook. He cooked seven days a week while I was pregnant,” Teigen told Bon Appétit in 2018.

She added, “He was always my sous; he loves to chop things. You teach him one thing and he remembers it forever.”

Mariah Carey:

Mariah Carey is known for owning the holiday season musically, but she also rules it in the kitchen. In a 2019 GQ interview, she shared, “I like to cook every year. I cook on the 23rd, 24th and 25th — all different menus. I actually love cooking.”

Justin Theroux:

Justin Theroux liked to stay busy in the kitchen, not just for himself, but also for his dog, Kuma. From lasagna to burgers and even borscht, the actor made sure his pup dined in style.

Moreover, His friend, Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski, told Us Weekly, “[Justin] makes really good nachos and he introduced me to this really nice Yuzu hot sauce.”  

Paris Hilton:

Paris Hilton surprised her fans and followers by launching her YouTube series Cooking With Paris.

“As you all know, well maybe not all of you know, but people who do know, know that I’m an amazing cook,” she declared in the video. 

She credits her mom for sparking her love of cooking, saying, “Ever since I was a little girl, I would always go with my mom in the kitchen and she would cook these amazing pastas and lasagnas."
