Sandra Oh becomes 'doctor' 10 years after leaving ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
The Canadian-American actress famously played a doctor on the hit medical drama

Sandra Oh is fondly remembered by fans of the long-running medical series Grey’s Anatomy for playing Meredith Grey’s best friend and fellow doctor, Cristina Yang, to television perfection.
Now, the 53-year-old actress has put her experience to good use as she stepped up to accept her honourary degree on Monday.
The Killing Eve star was bestowed the honour by Dartmouth College alongside other select choices for the class of 2025’s commencement.
Sandra also took to her Instagram to announce her latest achievement.
“A Dr. for real reals!! (Okay, honorary),” the Emmy winner jokingly began in her caption.
While she also posted snaps with the Grey’s Anatomy showrunner and former Dartmouth alum, Shonda Rhimes, who was further thanked in the caption for her “creative sisterhood”.
Sandra Oh proceeded to give a commencement speech while receiving her degree, during which she told the university students, “It’s an honor to be here with you on this momentous occasion. Congratulations. You did it!”
