Prince Edward set to visit Canada after King and Queen’s short trip
Prince Edward will be travelling to Canada from June 25 to July 2
Prince Edward is expected to take a seven day trip to the North American Country Canada next week.
In order to deepen the connection with the nation and join important occasions, he will serve from June 25 to July 2, 2025.
The 61 year old Royal family member will be taking part in the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Prince Edward Island Regiment, a unit which he has led as Colonel-in-Chief since 2005.
The upcoming trip visit comes after a recent but brief royal trip by King Charles and wife Queen Camilla, where the 76-year-old monarch addressed the parliament in a notable speech.
A key part of the celebrations will be the Freedom of the City Parade, honouring the regiment's longstanding history and contributions.
King’s brother’s itinerary consists of military events, discussions with First Nations communities, youth organisations and public sector services.
During this week-long visit the Duke of Edinburgh will also be participating in Canada Day celebrations in the nation's capital on July 01, 2025.
While on Prince Edward Island,Edward will meet with Abegweit First Nation and attend a regional education forum. His trip doesn’t end here, as he will also engage with youth organisations on the island.
