Taylor Russell is no longer attached to star in Michael B. Jordan’s reimagining of the classic hit The Thomas Crown Affair.

The Amazon MGM Studios title, which is also being directed by Jordan, is currently under production in London.

While the Bones and All actress has left the project due to creative differences and the studio is now actively on the lookout for her replacement.

To note, the Sinners alum’s remake also stars Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and more.

Furthermore, while the initial draft of the screenplay was based on the original 1968 film, the new script by Drew Pearce is reportedly a different version; though its details are not yet known.

Notably, the classic film starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, has also been remade once before.

Released in 1999, the first Thomas Crown remake starred Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.

Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair is set to be released on March 5, 2027.
