Nintendo drops exciting new update about 'Legends of Zelda'
The wait is almost over as Nintendo and Sony have found their Zelda and Link for their upcoming live-action Legend of Zelda movie.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on July 16, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto introduced relative newcomers Bo Bragason, who will be playing Princess Zelda, and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who will take on the role of Link.
The social media post also seemingly teased what looks like a first glimpse of the pair in their respective costumes.
Not only did they give a brief inside look, the post also mentioned the along with the movie's long-awaited release date.
"The live-action 'The Legend of Zelda' movie will feature Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link," the post from Nintendo’s official account read.
However, with such exciting news and a release date to look forward to, fans will have to wait just a little longer as the movie is going to release in two more years.
"The live-action "The Legend of Zelda" movie is scheduled for theatrical release on May 7, 2027," the post continued.
The project will be directed by Wes Ball, the filmmaker behind the iconic Maze Runner trilogy and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and will be financially funded by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
