Why Prince William, King Charles wouldn’t ‘go to support’ Prince Harry’s Invictus Games
‘This is Harry’s concern, not theirs,’ shared one former royal staffer

While it was previously reported that Prince Harry has invited King Charles and Prince William to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, a former aide for the royal family has now expressed “doubts” over the father and son’s potential attendance.
Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell shared with the Daily Express, “I think that The King and the Prince of Wales have enough charity events to go to, so I think they wouldn’t have to go to the Invictus Games.”
As the sporting event was founded by the Duke of Sussex, the former royal butler further claimed, “This is Harry’s baby, not The King’s and not William’s. I think they shouldn’t go to support Harry in this venture. This is Harry’s concern, not theirs.”
Moreover, the ex-staffer specifically addressed the Prince of Wales’ decision making and explained why his appearance “is probably not on the cards.”
“I doubt whether William would embrace Harry in public at this moment in time, or even ever again,” Paul Burrell stated.
Meanwhile, Mail on Sunday had reported earlier this year that Prince Harry is “hopeful” his invitation will be accepted by King Charles and Prince William, while a source told the outlet, “Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part.”
