Rachel Zegler resumes her performance at The London Palladium

Rachel Zegler resumed her performing duties in and as Evita, after a brief spell of illness which forced her to retire mid-performance on Thursday.
Returning to The London Palladium on Friday, the West Side Story actress took back the reins of her leading role as the former Argentinian First Lady Eva Perón, after her understudy Bella Brown previously stepped in to complete the remainder of the performance.
Moreover, PEOPLE reported that Brown’s rendition of Don’t Cry For Me Argentina earned her a rapturous standing ovation in Zegler’s absence.
Meanwhile, though the 24-year-old star’s illness is not known at the moment, she celebrated her London theatre debut by sharing a few snaps from fans to her Instagram stories.

“An incredible performance”, revealed one such fan’s verdict, which the Golden Globe winner reposted via her official account.
While the musical’s page on the platform also shared photos of the Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon and the former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s visit to their latest stop at London.
“This season’s most stylish affair. Thank you for joining us Anna Wintour and @cynthiaenixon,” Evita’s page on Instagram captioned their guests’ snaps meeting the show’s star, Rachel Zegler, backstage at London’s West End.
