Thanos is no longer the major threat; now it's Doctor Doomsday as the villain saga arises

Good news for Marvel as Avengers: Doomsday, is all set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
The upcoming Avengers movie introduces an epic twist: The Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr is making his comeback as the villain Doctor Doom.
For the unversed, Victor Von Doom is a fictional villain in comic books known as Doctor Doom, a ruthless scientist and sorcerer who rules the country of Latveria and is considered as Marvel’s most powerful supervillain.
During the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024, Robert Downey Jr. surprised fans by unveiling his new mask, saying, “New mask, same task. I like playing complicated characters.”
This follows the film’s shift from its original title, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, after Jonathan Majors’ departure due to legal issues.
Doctor Doom appears in the mid-scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, setting the stage for his reign in the Multiverse Saga, replacing Thanos as the main threat.
The cast is star-studded, featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour.
Moreover, the return of the former heroes is expected, including Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Evans.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with Stephen McFeely writing, the film promises an epic clash, per Variety.
Based on the 2011 comic Ultimate Comics: Doomsday, it may feature heroes stopping a familiar villain. Get yourself ready for a thrilling ride!
