Prince William shares heartfelt moments with Princess Charlotte at Euro final

Prince William brought along his daughter, Princess Charlotte, to the Women’s Euro 2025 final in Basel, Switzerland.

The father and daughter duo watched England’s Lionesses clinch a historic victory over Spain on Sunday, July 27.

Moreover, as England women’s team became the first side ever from their country to win an international title on foreign soil, the Prince of Wales celebrated their victory with multiple tributes shared via his official social media.

The future king first shared an adorable snap of him alongside 10-year-old Charlotte, at her first ever overseas football game, which was captioned, “Let’s go, @lionesses!”.

However, as his team went behind a goal at the 25th minute and they went into halftime one nil down, the Prince shared a snap with Spanish royalty who were at the game to cheer their country’s girls.

“Bring on the second half! May the best team win,” the caption read for the story with a picture of the father-daughter pair posing alongside Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain.

Eventually, as England equalised with a header from their forward Alessia Russo in the 57th minute of the game, the match remained at equal score until it went into extra time and subsequently, the penalties.

With the Lionesses conquering the penalty shootout 3-1, the English side were crowned champions of Europe for a second consecutive tournament, their first time doing so during Euro 2021.

The heir apparent further shared footage from the game, where he could be seen participating in the medal ceremony, handing them out to both the runners up as well as the winning squad.

“An incredible night for @lionesses and @england in Basel. Congratulations to Sarina, the team and all the support staff. Champions!” the Kensington team’s official Instagram post was captioned.

Notably, Prince William’s trip to the final with Princess Charlotte came during the children’s school break in the UK.
