8 shocking celebrities who’ve admitted taking weight loss medications amid speculation
Find out which favourite celebrity of yours admitted to taking weight loss pills

In an era where people constantly compare themselves and feel pressure to look a certain way, celebrities are often the first to be affected.
They are very conscious about their weight and sometimes fall into the trap of using weight loss medications.
That said, not all of them are brutally honest about admitting to taking such pills, which creates a massive gap between them and their fans.
But what about those who have shared their weight loss transformation with sheer transparency?
Have a look at those celebrities who have been open about using medications to achieve their ideal look:
Lizzo

The Juice hitmaker has recently been the talk of the town for her weight loss transformation.
In an appearance on the Just Trish podcast, Lizzo revealed that she has tried Ozempic.
"I've tried everything. It’s just the science, for me, calories in vs. calories out. Ozempic works because you eat less food. It makes you feel full. So, if you can just do that on your own and get mind-over-matter, it’s the same,” she said, per People.
Speaking to Women’s Health U.K., the Boys songstress reflected, “If I did all of this on Ozempic, if I did all this with surgery, I would be just as proud of myself, because this s*** is hard.”
She added, “Everyone who’s ever been in a bigger body in this current version of society knows that this s--- ain’t easy. Existing isn’t easy."
Oprah Winfrey

The 71-year-old American host and television producer disclosed that she takes a weight-loss drug, but didn’t specify which one.
In an interview with People in December 2023, Oprah revealed,” I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing.”
She shared that the drug helps her maintain a balanced, healthy weight.
“The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself,” the Selma actress stated.
Meghan Trainor

Right after winning at the 2025 Billboard Music awards, the All About That Bass hitmaker noticed that most of the comments at the time were about her body, rather than her achievement.
"...It’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry," Meghan wrote on Instagram.
She also shared that she had worked with a dietitian and a trainer to achieve the best version of herself.
Furthermore, the NO musician revealed that she relied heavily on weight loss drug Mounjaro to reach her ideal look.
"I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great," she said.
Kelly Clarkson

The 43-year-old singer-songwriter once revealed in an episode of her talk show that she is taking a drug to help her lose weight, though she didn’t specify which one, per Today.
“Everyone thinks it’s Ozempic — it’s not. It’s something else,” Kelly said, adding, “But it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously my body doesn’t do it right.”
She further shared that taking a weight-loss medication has been “really good” for her, despite being hesitant at first due to previous health issues.
“My doctor chased me for like two years, and I was like, ‘No I’m afraid of it, I already have thyroid problems,’” the Stronger hitmaker said.
Kelly eventually decided to try it because her “blood work got so bad.”
James Corden

The 46-year-old English actor and comedian mentioned that he tried Ozempic but it was ineffective for him
"I tried Ozempic, and it won’t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn’t really work,” James said on the September 19, 2024, episode of his This Life of Mine podcast.
The former Late Late Show with James Corden host added, “I tried it for a bit and then what I realized was I was like, ‘Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry.’ All this does is make you feel not hungry."
Rebel Wilson

During her interview with The Sunday Times in March 2024, the Pitch Perfect actress shared that she has tried Ozempic as one of the key methods to help maintain her desired size.
"Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good,” Rebel told the publication.
She added, “Basically no one apart from my mom wanted me to lose weight. People thought I’d lose my pigeonhole in my career, playing the fat funny character, and they wanted me to continue in that.”
The Bride Hard actress emphasised, noting, “I feel strongly that young women shouldn’t try to obsess over looking like Victoria’s Secret models — they should just look like themselves. I know that my relationship with food is complicated."
Elsewhere in the interview, Rebel also admitted that she is no longer on a weight-loss drug and is happy with her "still curvy and solid" current weight.
Elon Musk

The 54-year-old Tesla CEO has publicly stated that he initially tired Ozempic for weight loss but it caused stomach issues.
Elon later switched to Mounjaro, anotherGLP-1 medication, which he found to be more effective with fewer side effects.
As reported by Forbes, he also expressed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that making GLP-1 medications widely accessible would play a pivotal role in improving public health.

Amy Schumer

Lastly, the 44-year-old comedian and actress called out those celebrities who weren’t honest about using Ozempic in their weight loss journey.
In 2023, while appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Amy expressed her frustration, saying, “Everyone and their mom is gonna try it. Everyone has been lying saying, 'Oh, smaller portions.'"
She added, “Like, shut the f*** up. You are on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop."
However, the Trainwreck actress admitted to becoming “immediately invested” in Ozempic in 2022, but later revealed it was not “livable” for.
"I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn't play with my son. I was so skinny, and he's throwing a ball at me and [I couldn't],” Amy Schumer reminisced.
