Let’s have a look at once beloved celebrities who tarnished their reputations in 2025

The world of celebrity is both; blessing and a curse - one moment you're on top, ruling hearts of millions and with a blink of eye you fall from the grace, landing on the infamous "most hated" list.
Whether due to personal reason, a publicity stunt, ego issues, or being wrongfully framed, in this article, you will explore list of 2025's most disliked stars:
Blake Lively

Blake Lively, a well-known personality and wife of Ryan Reynolds, once used to attend parties with her best pal, Taylor Swift.
She often found herself in the spotlight, thanks to her celebrity status.
Everything seemed in a great direction for the 35-year-old actress’ career as she not only starred in highly acclaimed novel-based movie It Ends with Us but also launched series of ventures including a hair care line and the beverage brands.
However, in December 2024, Lively initiated a legal battle with her It Ends with Us costar-director, Justin Baldoni, in which she accused him of sexual harassment, causing her “severe emotional distress” and starting a “smear campaign” against her on social media.
The whole legal dispute between the costars definitely generated some negative attention and controversy, with the Another Simple Favor actress facing a worsening PR nightmare in 2025.
It's evident that this he-said-she-said feud is majorly harming both stars’ public appeal, mostly Lively’s reputation as she and the Anti-Hero singer, who have known to be best friends, are not even on talking term.
Kanye West

Whenever his name pops up, mind directly diverts to another controversy. The rapper, also known as Ye was once considered “un-cancelable”, however, few years has been rocky for him specially 2025.

So far this year, the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian sparked outrage by selling offensive shirts featuring a hate symbol on his website, once again posted erratically on his social media account and released a song named Heil Hitler, which was released on May 8, the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.
This led a huge spark among many people who even signed a petition to cancel his due performance in the festival at the Rubicon Festival.
Meghan Markle

According to a new viral poll, the Duchess of Sussex has been ranked the #2 most hated celebrity of 2025.
Born Rachel Meghan Markle, the American-born actress' life took a dramatic U-turn after she married Prince Harry and became a member of the British royal family.
However, the 44-year-old former actress’ fairytale life as a royal was short-lived as in 2020, she and the Duke of Sussex stepped back from their royal duties, due to creative differences with the royal family.
Since then, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen their public standing crashed over the past few years, with Meghan's numbers being dropped the most.
Earlier this year, her public image suffered as some see her as disconnected from her roots.
As per May 2025, only 20 percent of British people now hold a positive opinion of her, while 65 percent view her unfavourably.
Even recently her along with Prince Harry’s £100 million deal with Netflix has reportedly been scrapped.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the name is enough to see why he's considered one of the most hated celebrities of 2025.
The disgraced music mogul was once considered a highly influential public figure, an entrepreneur; in short ruling with strong connections in the entertainment industry.
However, his unmatched power struck badly in 2023 after one of his ex-girlfriends, Cassie Ventura filed case of sexual misconduct against him.
This led to the cops searching his homes which opened another Pandora box of his crimes including racketeering, trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion.
This did not stop there, Combs was also involved in alleged criminal enterprise involving forced labour, and kidnapping, and not to mention his so-called “Freak Offs.”

Things worked pretty fine for the transgender actress until last year when she made history as the first openly transgender person being nominated in an acting category at the Oscars.
Many social media users were already irked by the Academy’s decision to nominate a transgender actress under a acting category for female actors, hence, her achievement was soon overshadowed by series of controversies landing her into hot waters.
Gascón initially faced criticism for her social media comments about Best Picture nominee “I’m Still Here” and fellow Best Actress contender Fernanda Torres.
Within no time her older offensive posts started resurfacing, which included insensitive remarks about George Floyd and Islam.
This led Gascón deleting the posts and deactivating her X account, however, it was too late for the transgender actress as the controversy had already taken its toll.
Rachel Zegler

The actress at just 24 faced immense criticism. It all began after she was cast in Snow White movie.
