Chelsea? Arsenal? Burnley? Find out which football clubs count royal family among their supporters
Royal family and football — who could’ve known

Though the royal family has had a storied history with more high brow sports such as polo and the likes.
However, even royalty can’t help but keep up with the beautiful game.
Given the popularity of the English Premier League then, it is only fair that members of the country’s monarchy follow one of their own.
Without further ado, here are the royals and their favourite football clubs:
King Charles — Burnley

Kicking things off with the head of the family, King Charles is a proud supporter of Burnley F.C. and was even honoured with a complimentary VIP season ticket from the club when they heard about his support.
“A consortium of my charities, including the British Asian Trust, has been working in Burnley. Hence, some of you asked this evening whether I support a British football club and I said: ‘Yes — Burnley,’” he declared at a charity dinner in 2012.
Queen Elizabeth — West Ham

The King’s mother and former monarch Queen Elizabeth revealed herself to be a Hammer when she overheard a staff member declare their support for West Ham United’s long standing nemesis, Millwall F.C.
“She gave up her secret after overhearing one of her staff members saying he was a Millwall fan and was talking to another member of staff about the derby between West Ham and their archrivals,” a source for The Mirror once reported.
Prince William — Aston Villa

Prince William’s love for Aston Villa is a secret to no one — the Prince of Wales is often seen attending their games, as he did earlier this year when his club played in the Champions League and even made time to watch their Europa League game on the eve of his daughter, Princess Charlotte’s birthday, in 2024.
“I wanted to have a team that was more midtable that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments. Aston Villa’s always had a great history,” he explained the reason behind his support to Gary Linekar in 2015.
Kate Middleton — Chelsea

The Princess of Wales was not on the lookout for a less successful team like her husband and was found to be firmly supporting Chelsea F.C.
Kate Middleton’s support for the London based club was revealed when she attended a children’s charity in 2015 and a child present there shared that he high fived the future queen because “she supports Chelsea and I support Chelsea.”
Prince Harry — Arsenal

Harry, Duke of Sussex also supports a club from London — Arsenal F.C.
He even claimed that “most of the royal family are Arsenal fans” while on a previous philanthropic visit at the New Zealand government house in Wellington.
