Celebrities and their complicated relationships with fans
Check out which Hollywood A-listers have called out their fans

While many stars deeply appreciate their fans, only a few have the guts to call them out when they cross the line.
Check out who they are:
Jennifer Lawrence
The Silver Linings Playbook actress revealed she's no longer keen on taking photos with fans.
“I have just started becoming really rude and drawn into myself. I think that people think that we already are friends because I am famous and they feel like they already know me– but I don’t know them.” Jennifer told the UK Telegraph newspaper in 2016.
Christian Bale
The American Psycho actor’s former publicist, Harrison Cheung, revealed discreet details in his book about Christian, alleging that he was so mean toward fans that he would make them cry.
Harrison claimed that Christian “would lecture little girls about being rude and intrusive until tears streamed down their faces and their parents tugged them away from [his] table.”
Cillian Murphy
Known for his introverted personality, it’s no surprise that the Oppenheimer star doesn't like it when fans approach him for photos.
“I just think it’s better to say hello and have a little conversation. I tell that to a lot of people, you know, actor friends of mind, and they're just like, ‘I feel so bad.’ But you don’t need a photo record of everywhere you've been in a day,” Cillian told People magazine.
Doja Cat
The Say So hitmaker has expressed frustration with fans for overstepping her boundaries and not respecting them.
In 2023, Doja even asked her fans to get off their phones and get a real job after learning they were identifying themselves with the name Kittenz.
The comment garnered significant backlash for the Agora Hills songstress, but she didn't seem to care.
“I don’t though because I don’t even know y’all,” she responded when asked to tell her fans she loved them.
Justin Bieber
Lastly, the Love Yourself crooner is one of the best-known celebrities who has a complicated relationship with his millions of fans.
Back in 2016, Justin had enough and announced on Snapchat that he would be cancelling all of his meet and greets with fans.
He added, “I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression. The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle.”
