Public quarrels are a rarity in country music but Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock set the record straight.

What began as a social media argument a few months back turned into a full-on fight during the Born and Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, with Bryan as the center of attention for the consequences of his actions.

The feud began in July 2022 when a 14-year old fan posted on social media how disappointed and frustrated she was when she was not able to meet Bryan after the show. The 29-year-old responded to the fan rather unexpectedly by saying, “You are not entitled to after someone plays two and half hours to a picture or a hello.”

He even ended the message with GOMD which stands for get off my d***. His response got a lot of attention but the heaviest response seemed to come from another rising singer, Gavin Adcock.

The 26-year-old seemed to be the only one brave enough to step out of the “yes man” circle and called out Bryan for “mask fishing” and claiming that he was not as down to earth as he portrayed himself.

Adcock even went as far to say “I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”

Such remarks did not dissipate. Jump ahead to the 3rd of September when Bryan came on board as an unexpected guest at the Oklahoma festival. There was backstage footage of Bryan facing Adcock over a chain-link fence screaming, You want to fight like a man. Open the gate.”

At some point, Bryan threatened to kill one of them, saying, “Open this gate and I will kill you, and then he attempted to jump the fence in a phenomenally outrageous move to attack him.

Security soon deescalated the conflict, but it was too late, the confrontation was on tape and was being shared on the internet in hours. Then why confronted Adcock Brian? Essentially, the eruption was driven by a combination of both personal pride and work pressure.
