Prince Harry’s big day: Discover royal spare’s 5 favourites on his 41st birthday!
Much like his life now, some of Prince Harry’s preferences are surprisingly non-royal

Prince Harry completes another year around the sun today; he has officially turned 41.
While the ex royal remains in the headlines because the press loves to hate him, let’s break from the usual media fodder on his birthday to go through some of his favourite things in the world.
Here are 5 of them:
Favourite holiday spot
Harry has shared a long held fondness for the continent of Africa, which is where he went during a gap year and has returned many times over the years — for business and pleasure alike.
It appears that the Southern African country Botswana is his favourite destination for holidaying; confirmed by Daily Express as “Prince Harry’s lifelong favourite travel destination”.
Favourite film
Prince Harry’s love of Africa apparently extends to his favourite film as well, which would be the 1964 war epic, Zulu.
The Duke of Sussex revealed in 2014, “I watch this film every single year before Christmas time”, when he was the guest of honour at Zulu’s 50th anniversary event.
Favourite sport
Per his own admission, the Duke’s favourite sport is rugby.
“Sport, I decided, would be my thing at Eton. I played every dry sport, though rugby captured my heart,” he wrote in his memoir, Spare.
Favourite food
Harry’s favourite cuisine is, perhaps unsurprisingly, very British; a good old roast chicken.
Apparently, the food is a preference he shares with Meghan Markle, and the pair even revealed during their engagement interview that their marriage proposal occurred when they were “trying to roast” a chicken together.
Favourite family member
While Princess Diana famously takes top precedence among Harry’s favourite family members, it is Princess Eugenie with whom he shares the closest bond among all of his living relatives.
Reflecting on the Duke’s lifelong friendship with the Princess of York, Finding Freedom authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie wrote, “Eugenie had always been more than just a cousin to Harry. They were also the closest of friends. Out of all the Queen’s grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life.”
