From iconic musicians teaming up with A-list actors to renowned personalities including athletes partnering for a campaign or an advertisement; here is a list of notable celebrities made a jaw-dropping pairings via collaboration:

1. Taylor Swift and T-Pain

The weirdest collaboration between Taylor Swift and T-Pain was their 2009 performance of Thug Story at the CMT Music Awards.

It was a satirical music video that parodied their respective genres such as blending Swift's country-pop image with a rap parody.

2. Elton John and Eminem

Unlikely, isn't it? The duo once performed on Eminem's song Stan at the 2001 Grammy Awards.

For their collaboration, the two artists even appeared as an odd couple; Eminem wore sweats while Elton John donned a shiny pink and yellow spotted suit.

3. U2 and Luciano Pavarotti

U2 and Luciano Pavarotti collaborated for the song Miss Sarajevo, where Luciano Pavarotti sang an opera solo on U2's side-project with Brian Eno on Passengers.

The duo wrote Miss Sarajevo as a tribute to the resilience of Sarajevans during the Bosnian War, inspired by a beauty pageant held during the siege as an act of defiance.

4. Paul McCartney, Kanye West, and Rihanna

The most unlikely collaboration between Paul McCartney, Kanye West, and Rihanna is their 2015’s single FourFiveSeconds.

A folk-pop and soul track featured acoustic guitar and organ and despite its unusual combination the trio’s song was a critical and commercial success, showcasing the artists' surprising synergy.

5. Madonna and Britney Spears

Madonna's 2003 MTV Video Music Awards performance with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera is often described a s “weird”.

They performed a medley of Like a Virgin and Hollywood, finalising the performance with Madonna kissing both Spears and Aguilera.

6. Hayley Williams and B.o.B.

Last but not least is the collaboration between Paramore's Hayley Williams and B.o.B. on the song Airplanes, which was a massive hit in 2010.

The song was notable for its unexpected blend of B.o.B's rapping with Williams' rock-influenced vocals, a combination that defined a generation of music and created a unique cultural moment.
