When we think of Hollywood's actors, we often imagine a muscular physique, handsomenes and unshakeable confidence, but will you believe if someone tells you few of famous faces have struggled with their own body image.

From Robert Pattinson to Jacob Elordi; these male stars have bravely spoken out about their body image struggles:

Robert Pattinson

The Batman actor once opened up about his experiences with body dysmorphia and "tremendous anxiety" about his appearance.

"I suppose it’s because of these tremendous insecurities that I never found a way to become egotistical," Pattinson said, adding, "I don’t have a six-pack and I hate going to the gym. I’ve been like that my whole life. I never want to take my shirt off."

Dwayne Johnson

The Red One actor once opened about his struggles with body image and depression.

"You can't be big, you can't go to the gym, you can't call yourself 'The Rock,' let's not talk about pro-wrestling. Well, you buy into that shit, as I did," the Moana 2 star said, adding, "One of two things is gonna happen. You're either gonna continue to go down that road, that path, and you're gonna be miserable. And eventually, your career is probably gonna fizzle out."

The Smashing Machine actor further added, "You're not gonna have any sense of longevity or quality to it. Or the other thing that's gonna happen, you're gonna say 'Fuck this shit. I'm gonna be me and we're gonna see what happens.'"

Justin Baldoni

The It Ends with Us actor once shared his experiences with body dysmorphia and said that filming shirtless scenes "became a part of his identity".

Baldoni in an interview with Cosmopolitan, said, "Because I have my insecurities with my physique, because of my history, I’d put a lot of pressure on myself before I had to do these scenes."

"So I would get anxiety around it. This last season [of Jane the Virgin], I really didn’t get to work out that much. I don't think I personally looked as good as I did in previous seasons, but I think emotionally and mentally, I was a lot happier," the actor who is embroiled in a legal war with Blake Lively said.

Ed Sheeran

The Shape of You hitmaker revealed his struggles with body image in March 2023.

Sheeran told Rolling Stones, "I’m self-conscious anyway, but you get into an industry where you’re getting compared to every other pop star."

However, his wife helped the singer realise the Shivers crooner needed to cut back on drinking and binging two months before they welcomed their first child.

Since revealing his past issues, Sheeran has focused more on being a "binge exerciser, and a binge dad."

Jacob Elordi

Elordi, who will soon star in Frankenstein, has become hyperaware of his body and shared with Men's Health, saying, "You have all sorts of aged people around the world only talking about what you look like...I don’t think it’s really a conversation that people have in regards to men."

The Euphoria actor added, “It doesn’t keep me up at night, but it’s definitely frustrating. You’ll go to a shoot and you’ll be getting changed or something, and someone’s like, ‘Oooaaah, would you look?’ Can you imagine if I said to a woman, ‘Daaaaamn, look at your waist!’? Like, see you later. I would never do that, but I think people see it on their screens, so they think it’s okay.”
